CENSUS 2020 -Why Do We Need To Be Counted?

Remember what’s at stake: A complete count will drive funding for our schools, roads, internet access, healthcare, and hundreds of other critical community programs. And, the census determines representation. SHARE ON FACEBOOK, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, CALL!

THE CENSUS IS UNDER ATTACK!
The government is rushing the count so that the current President can determine each states representation and funding instead of the next President, if he does not win this election in November. This is wrong and hurts the count for people of color especially in SC. Census door knockers will come in SC on August 11th

COVID-19

This disease is spreading like wild fire and is killing more people of color disproportionately. Politically, our federal leaders are depending on people of color believing false information they are spreading and it is working. Rumors and false information have led too many people of color to not wear masks, to hold lots of gatherings without social distancing, and more. In South Carolina, 49% of all who have died from COVID are people of color BUT we only make up 27% of the state’s population.

COVID is being used as a political tool to expose us to a greater chance of getting sick and not going to the polls to vote. Call our legislators (864-467-7112) to get more testing sites closer to people of color, increase radio & tv ads of testing sites

SAVING THE POSTAL SERVICE

Organized in 1775, and established as an agency in 1792 to legally serve all Americans and guarantee they can receive mail daily at a uniform. Now the Postal Service is being used as a political pawn and services are being cut and slowed. Slow delivery of vital medicines and medical equipment can be life threatening to those who are very sick. Also, slow postal service delivery will keep election ballots from arriving in time for elections.

Now is the time to remove legislators who are opposed to Affordable Health Care while they enjoy the benefits of having Affordable Health Care. It is time to remove legislators who oppose Police Reform and enjoy the double standards of the current laws; It is time to remove legislators who work to divide this country maintaining systemic and institutional racism instead of working for equity & inclusion.
