The Greenville NAACP Voter Registration Chair, Lawson Wetli needs everyone to begin now registering new voters and helping those persons who moved to get their addresses changed. Anyone can register online-www.scvotes.gov. Changing address, call 864-467-7250.

7) LISC provides relief grants to small businesses (Opens July 27th)
LISC is providing relief grants to small businesses to help them keep functioning and remain vital facets of their local economies through the COVID-19 pandemic. Awards will be made to qualified businesses, and eligibility is based on accurate and complete submission. Priority will be given especially to entrepreneurs of color, women- and veteran-owned businesses and other enterprises in historically under-served places who don’t have access to flexible, affordable capital. 8) Greenville County has $91 Million in Federal CARES Act money to allocate to our businesses, non-profits, public health outlets, housing authorities, special purpose districts, and other agencies.
CARES mandates that all funding meet the criteria of providing relief directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic and have taken place between March 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020. Specifics of requests are available in the application.

10) NAACP HOUSING ALERT*: COVID-19 HOUSING UPDATES
FHFA Extends Foreclosure and Eviction Moratorium
“To help borrowers and renters who are at risk of losing their home due to the coronavirus national emergency, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the Enterprises) will extend their single family moratorium on foreclosures and evictions until at least August 31, 2020. The foreclosure moratorium applies to Enterprise-backed, single-family mortgages only.

b) Managers/workers will be provided training and equipped with personal protective equipment;
c) Must be registered to vote in South Carolina; and
d) 16 and 17-year-olds can apply to be a Poll Manager Assistant.
